Aroma Touch technique is a holistic healing treatment that uses natural plant extracts to promote health and well-being. Sometimes it is called essential oil therapy.

Aroma touch is not a regular full body massage, but a 30 minute to 1 hour treatment. It is a whole body and mind relaxation therapy that promotes wellness, peace, and balance in the body. The use of essential oils positively affects mental health and wellbeing is becoming more common as people realize the benefits they provide. DoTerra created the Aroma Touch technique, which is said to be a clinical approach to introducing essential oils.

The Aroma Touch technique applies essential oils along energy meridians and visceral contact points of the back and feet to help balance the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems of the body. This technique improves wellbeing by reducing physical and emotional stressors and supports healthy nervous system functions.

The essential oils used in the Aroma Touch Technique were chosen for their individual and combined aromatic properties. They include –

  • Aroma Touch –This is a blend of Basil, Grapefruit, Peppermint, Lavender, Cypress and Marjoram. This blend helps reduce inflammation and helps muscles relax. Mildly invigorating with relaxing properties. This blend is designed to sooth tissue irritation and elevate circulation in order to manage discomfort. Improves circulation promotes health in damaged tissues while helping to diminish muscle ache, tension and spasm.
  • Balance –This is a blend of Spruce, Ho Wood, Frankincense, Blue Tansy, Blue Chamomile and Coconut oil. This blend provides a calming in your central nervous system. (A warm, woody, and earthly aroma. We all experience moments of disconnectedness or elevated levels of anxiety. This superb blend, with its warm, woody aroma, creates a sense of well-being through its calming action on the central nervous system by promoting a feeling of tranquility and creating a sense of balance in multiple body systems).
  • Deep Blue –This is a blend of Wintergreen, Camphor, Peppermint, Blue Tansy, Blue Chamomile, Helichrysum and Osmanthus. This blend supports wound healing and assists in relieving pain.
  • Lavender –This oil promotes relaxation and helps relieve stress. (This remarkable plant has been cherished for its unmistakable aroma and its treasured medicinal properties for thousands of years. Many studies have concluded that lavender essential oil is effective for use as a calming agent, mood modulator and works to relieve anxiety).
  • Melaleuca –This oil is commonly known as Tee Tree oil; this powerful oil helps combat infections. (With more than ninety different compounds combining to create a synergistic masterpiece, tea tree oil is nothing short of miraculous in its effect. It is often used to relieve infections and it is revered for its cleansing properties).
  • OnGuard –This is a blend of Wild Orange, Cinnamon, Clove, Eucalyptus, and Rosemary. This blend helps support a healthy immune system and combat disease.
  • Peppermint –This oil aids in digestive, respiratory and immune support. (There are more than thirty different compounds in pure peppermint oil, creating a synergistic masterpiece of biological activity. This complexity is what gives peppermint the ability to act on the physical and mental system of the body. Its refreshing and soothing qualities make it effective in balancing the body and addressing systemic stressors).
  • Wild Orange –This oil has antiviral properties as well as has the ability to stimulate happiness and joy. Citrus oils possess remarkable system-protecting characteristics, including immune-support and anti-oxidizing properties. Wild Orange essential oil enhances and elevates mood whilst modulating stress related anxiety. It is also a direct inhibitor of many types of unwanted germs and pathogens in the body.
